Carli Rossall

A journalist and substance use counsellor, writing about and working with British Columbia’s drug-dependent population, Carli is passionate about the nationwide epidemic that is addiction. A recovering addict and alcoholic herself, born and raised in Winnipeg’s Jewish community, Carli endeavours to advocate for youth and young adults struggling with dependence and doing so in secret. Her goal is to encourage the elimination of stigma and to stimulate open discussions.  Carli about Substance Use Disorder within communities where addiction is still viewed as a moral issue, rather than the life-threatening illness that it actually is.  Carli has found a balance in using Jewish spirituality and teachings in enhancing the positiveness of her recovery.  She is currently an Addictions Counsellor at Jewish Child and Family Service.
